What – the Role:

On behalf of our client, SWIM is seeking a new Controller who will oversee the company's accounting and finance operations, including financial reporting budgeting, forecasting, and daily accounting activities, all while ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal governance.

The Controller will lead month-end close processes, conduct financial and cost analysis, and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, strengthen internal controls, and manage expenses effectively. The Controller will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance reporting capabilities, streamline business processes, and support the implementation of enterprise systems and technology initiatives.

The Controller will also contribute to organizational leadership through participation in strategic planning, operational decision-making, and continuous improvement efforts across departments.

This is not a "maintain-the-status-quo" role. The company is seeking someone resilient and forward-thinking who can build and improve processes and systems, fix what's not working, and scale the accounting & finance function for future growth.

Who – the Candidate:

We're looking for an accounting & finance leader with at least 7 years of progressive and relevant work experience

• Experience working in a publicly-listed company (in-house or from public practice client portfolio) including understanding of pub.co. internal controls and governance.
• CPA designation, or International equivalent.
• Systems-
  • ERP system experience (Oracle, SAP, JD Edwards, or similar)
  • Proficient in MS Excel
  • Experience using PowerBI is a significant asset
• Experience working in industrial or manufacturing sector is highly preferred.
• Team leadership experience (mentoring and managing at least 1 and ideally 3+ direct reports).
• Experience providing financial reports and data to a global parent company is preferred.

How Much:

A competitive base salary commensurate with experience, skills, and qualifications- in the ballpark of $140,000 to $170,000. The company also provides a robust bonus program and other upside/benefits/perks. Please discuss your total compensation expectations in further detail with SWIM.
