Job Responsibilities
  1. Produce complete controls solutions and electrical design packages based on customer specifications and ATS standards.
  2. Collaborate with mechanical designers to develop control systems that ensure safety and reliability.
  3. Create detailed electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics, cable routing diagrams, panel layouts, bills of materials, and material requisitions.
  4. Work with the Controls Engineering Department to improve control technology integration, focusing on safety, functionality, and cost reduction.
  5. Ensure adherence to labor and material budgets.
  6. Specify hardware and software, and produce requisitions for materials.
  7. Integrate third-party equipment and components into electrical designs.
  8. Verify that design packages are complete, accurate, and safe, meeting program requirements prior to shop floor deployment.
  9. Collaborate with customers, project managers, and other teams to solve problems and deliver functional systems.
  10. Provide customer training on electrical hardware, machine operation, and programming principles.
Qualifications

Education: A post-secondary diploma or engineering degree in electronics, electrical, or controls technology.

Experience: At least five years in electrical control systems design, preferably in industrial automation, with proficiency in ePlan and AutoCAD.
