Levitt-Safety has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Fire Alarm Technician to join our Oakville team in Ontario.

Summary

As the successful candidate, you will be part of a dynamic team and perform verifications, certifications, maintenance/inspections, and repairs on fire alarm systems according to applicable fire codes.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of fire alarm systems and equipment, including repairs and documenting deficiencies, following NFPA guidelines.
  2. Verify newly installed fire alarm systems, breaker panels associated with fire alarms, and complete verification reports and program addressable panels.
  3. Maintain records of all inspections, testing, repairs, system impairments, and related paperwork per Levitt ISO standards.
  4. Coordinate and supervise subcontractors as required and assist in project management working closely with the design team and project manager.
  5. Respond to after-hours emergency calls.
  6. Participate in health and safety initiatives, including developing JHAs and safe work practices relevant to the role.
  7. Represent Levitt-Safety professionally for our customers and onsite safety needs.
Ideal Qualifications
  1. Valid CFAA Registration.
  2. 3-5 years of industry experience in Fire Detection, Special Hazards, and Programming Addressable Panels.
  3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  4. Working knowledge of NFPA, ULC, and Fire codes.
  5. Ability to pass pre-employment checks.
