Raise is currently hiring a Contract Professional on behalf of our client. This 1-year contract is based in Burnaby, BC with a hybrid in-office arrangement. The role focuses on post-award contract administration and managing the full lifecycle, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and with compliant performance. Travel to BC sites is required up to two visits yearly; contractors supply their own Windows 11 laptop and smartphone.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of overall professional experience.
  • 8 years in Contract Professional Level 3.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

  • Lifecycle management of the full contract lifecycle with emphasis on post-award administration, performance monitoring and compliance.
  • Monitor performance, identify issues early, take corrective actions and keep stakeholders aligned.
  • Foster collaborative relationships between suppliers, internal stakeholders, and the supply chain team with clear communication.
  • Forecast, monitor and report contract usage to ensure adherence to financial controls and budget targets.
  • Provide strategic guidance on sourcing, procurement and contract management following public sector practices.

  • Pay Rate: $68.70/hour, depending on experience

Raise is currently hiring a Contract Professional on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader. Our Client, is one of the largest electrical energy suppliers in Canada

Note: The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.

Description

The Contract Professional in this role will perform formal management of high-complexity contracts. In this role, you will ensure that major projects and ongoing operations are delivered safely, with high quality, on budget, and on time.The primary focus of this position is post-award contract administration and management, steering the full contract lifecycle from pre-award to closeout while mitigating risk and maximizing supplier performance.

Responsibilities
  • Lifecycle Management: Manage the full contract lifecycle, with a heavy emphasis on post-award contract administration, performance monitoring, and compliance.
  • Risk & Performance Mitigation: Ensure and suppliers fulfill all contractual obligations by actively monitoring performance, spotting issues early, taking timely corrective actions, and keeping stakeholders aligned.
  • Stakeholder & Supplier Relations: Foster meaningful, collaborative relationships between suppliers, internal stakeholders, and ’s supply chain organization through clear communication and proactive reporting.
  • Financial & Budget Control: Forecast, monitor, and report on contract usage to guarantee adherence to ’s financial control policies and budget targets.
  • Strategic Advisory: Provide expert guidance to client groups regarding sourcing, procurement, and contract management, applying public sector procurement law and supply chain best practices to secure optimal value.
Qualifications
  • 12 years of overall professional experience, with approximately 8 years of specialized Contract Professional Level 3 experience managing complex contracts.
  • Demonstrated hands‑on experience managing the full contract lifecycle, with deep strength in post‑award administration.
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Valid Drivers Licence
Nice‑to‑Haves
  • Experience supporting major equipment, infrastructure, engineering, construction, or capital project environments.
  • Utility Experience or a comparable regulated utility environment.
  • Experience coordinating work across multiple project locations and supporting regional site visits, alongside holding a valid Class 5 driver's license.
Education and Certifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Economics, or a related discipline (or equivalent).
Additional Information
  • Hybrid work arrangement (2 to 3 days per week in-office)
  • Travel Requirements: Up to two site visits per year within BC
  • Every contractor must supply their own Windows 11 Laptop computer for the duration of the assignment.
  • Every contractor must supply their own “Smart Phone”.This is needed to gain access to the Organizations network.
