Our Commercial Management Office supporting the CPG Ontario Line department is seeking a Senior Contract Administrator to provide commercial support in contract planning, management and administration services for large scale, high profile and complex capital projects.

What will I be doing?

• Working directly within an Integrated Project Delivery team, assisting with the preparation, review, and administration of high profile, large scale, and complex contracts (e.g., P3, Progressive Design Build, construction, and commercial/supplier contracts) during various stages of the contract management process. This includes defining scope of project work, identifying potential project risks and mitigation strategies, supporting value management and cost control, and monitoring contracts for compliance with terms and conditions.
• Identifying and advising the project team on critical contract issues such as contractor performance, enforcement of contractual obligations, negotiations, dispute resolution, and escalation of sensitive issues to senior management.
• Monitoring project risks, constraints, and contingencies related to contracts to prevent additional costs, penalties, and delays. Administering contractual claims and managing disputes.
• Contributing to continuous improvement of contractual matters and contract management systems.

What Skills and Qualifications Do I Need?

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction/Contract/Commercial Law, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience managing large contractual agreements in transit infrastructure projects, including knowledge of contracting principles, construction contracts, P3 agreements, and legal statutes.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with various stakeholders.
• Experience with contract management systems like Oracle Unifier.
• Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills.
• Additional assets include P.Eng or LL.B./JD, familiarity with Canadian construction documents, and negotiation experience.
