Job description

At CCGoodwin Consulting, we are part management consultancy, part agency. We work strategically with our clients, digging deep into their objectives, pain points and opportunities to design solutions that help them win. Our wheelhouse is in the creation and delivery of marketing communications programs, plans, campaigns and tools, from soup to nuts. We also deliver projects in strategic planning, sustainability, governance, organizational development and change management. In all that we do, we are evidence-based, market-focused, creative and measurement-driven. Our team is composed of hand-picked, top talent from across Canada. With our distributed and flexible model, we work remotely, but collaborate virtually and in person on a day-to-day basis.

Named by Atlantic Business Magazine as one of Atlantic Canada’s Best Places to Work three years in a row, we intentionally keep our operations lean to prioritize investment in our people, nurturing culture, growth and professional development. “Do Good & Be Great” is our purpose, and it’s what drives us to continuously improve and contribute to the communities we love. We are a values-driven team, with a focus on building community over competition, empowering people to be great leaders both within and outside the organization, and leading our work with empathy and inclusion.

Since founding the firm in 2019, we have continuously grown the business and client base within Canada. To support our growth, we are on the hunt for a Senior Consultant, Marketing. As we continue to build a more diverse team, we welcome and strongly encourage individuals from underrepresented and underserved communities to apply and join us.

Role Summary

As a Senior Consultant, Marketing, you will manage and deliver client projects across the business, including brand development plans, marketing plans, digital marketing initiatives and campaigns, working directly with our team, roster of talent and clients. You have an innate curiosity for what drives market behaviours, you play hard in the digital space, and you are creative, entrepreneurial and resourceful. You will help develop creative ideas and assets, omnichannel strategies and executions and brand storytelling. You will manage schedules and budgets, and write and assemble materials for a range of channels that achieve results. In all of the work that you do, you will be encouraged to think outside of the box, and you will be supported by a team of practitioners who have your back. This is a remote role based in Saint John, Fredericton or Moncton, New Brunswick. For the right candidate, we are open to other remote work locations in New Brunswick.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional client service
  • Help to manage, develop and deliver client projects, with a specific focus on critical thinking, application of research and strong writing, including editing, proofing, formatting and coordinating the design of materials, as required. These materials include, but are not limited to:(1) Strategic brand and integrated marketing communications plans; (2) Strategic brand, marketing and communications products (research reports; project plans/schedules; creative briefs; campaign and collateral copy; print materials; website, social media and other digital content; etc.); (3) Policy-oriented deliverables (briefing notes, position papers, etc.); (4) Strategic and corporate plans; (5) Facilitated workshop materials.
  • Manage digital campaigns (paid and organic) across platforms – coordinating with partners on SEO/SEM, analytics, email and media buys
  • Oversee brand, content and digital asset development with internal and roster creative teams
  • Lead primary and secondary research to inform client projects, with the help of our vendor partners as appropriate
  • Manage schedules, budgets, KPIs and campaign measurement
  • Support business development through the coordination of proposal development, including project management, research and proposal writing
  • Help manage our roster of creative talent, supervising materials production, photo and video shoots, event logistics, etc.; contracts; schedules; and budgets for key projects, maintaining a high level of quality
  • Help manage the work of campaign media buying partners, including the reporting of results
  • Remain current with trends and best practices within primary area(s) of expertise and bring learnings to client projects and others within the firm
  • Contribute to the firm’s vision and business plans, and help build a culture of learning, excellence, client-centricity, inclusive leadership and fun

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education or training with specialization in business, marketing, psychology or similar discipline
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience working in a fast-paced communications and/or professional services environment, or equivalent, undertaking significant strategic and tactical responsibilities
  • Highly developed skills in critical thinking, written and verbal communications, research analysis, project management, problem-solving and interpersonal communication
  • Demonstrated experience leading omnichannel campaigns across digital, print and experiential platforms
  • Strong grasp of digital marketing tools (e.g. Google Ads, Meta Business Suite, Mailchimp, HubSpot, GA4) and ability to interpret performance data
  • Experience managing complex projects such as quantitative and qualitative market research, brand development initiatives, campaign strategies and plans, video shoots, events, multi-channel executions, trade show activations, etc.
  • Experience managing and delivering digital marketing branded channels, campaigns and assets, working closely with technical and creative partners, and other subject matter experts
  • Exceptional writing, including experience with copywriting for print and digital projects and a strong understanding of best practices for each medium
  • Experience working with marketing specialists, including graphic designers, web developers and others to collaborate effectively on the development of impactful marketing assets
  • Highly proficient in all MS Office programs (including Teams) and general fluency/comfort with technology
  • High attention to detail
  • Fluency in both French and English is a strong asset
  • Digital marketing certification is an asset
  • Professional services and/or agency experience is an asset

This role is for you if you are:

  • Strategic and analytical
  • Solutions-focused
  • Focused on continuous improvement, learning and staying on top of trends and best practices
  • Able to seek and provide constructive feedback in a clear and kind way
  • Motivated to deliver value and high-quality outputs for our clients
  • Ultra-organized
  • A team player and natural collaborator
  • Energetic and fun-loving, but serious about the work
  • Detail-oriented and flexible, someone who can take on various types of work based on the current priorities of the firm and our clients

We offer a competitive salary and benefits package that includes an incentive program, vacation, professional development, flexibility and other perks. Our team works from home, and it is a “bring- your-own-device” environment, for which we provide a monthly allowance and IT support.

Aligned with our values of creating a diverse and inclusive work environment, we welcome and strongly encourage individuals from communities that have experienced, and continue to experience, structural inequities to apply. Our firm adheres to the ISO 26000 guidelines for social responsibility, and we are taking steps to understand and apply the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada’s Call to Action #92 (Business and Reconciliation).
