Job summary

Turner Townsend in Canada is seeking a Senior Consultant to lead technical due diligence and monthly monitoring reports for large-scale data centre and infrastructure projects. You will act as a trusted technical advisor to lenders, coordinate with clients and other consultants, and contribute to planning, procurement, and delivery through all stages of a project lifecycle.

Ideal candidates bring 5–10+ years of relevant experience in construction advisory, a university degree, and strong

Qualifications

  • 5-10+ years of relevant experience in construction, project management, project controls, infrastructure advisory, lender's technical advisory, or related construction consulting environment.
  • Experience preparing/reviewing Technical Due Diligence Reports and Construction Monitoring Reports for lenders or financial institutions.
  • Experience with datacentre developments and mission-critical facilities is strongly preferred.
  • Membership in CIQS / RICS is a bonus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation of Technical Due Diligence Reports for lenders, investors and financial institutions focused on datacentre developments.
  • Manage and prepare Monthly Monitoring Reports during construction, providing independent assessments of progress, risks, costs, schedule, and project health.
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor to lenders on contractual documentation, procurement strategies, budgets and schedules.
  • Support complex datacentre projects through planning, procurement, construction, commissioning, and readiness.
  • Interface with client and other consultants at all stages of the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct market research on construction conditions across Canada and analyze official data.
  • Develop new business opportunities with Turner & Townsend clients.
  • Input learning from commissions into internal databases; ensure knowledge sharing.
  • Ensure quality controls and ISO audit compliance.

You are an experiencedConsultantorSenior Consultantwith a minimum of5 - 10yearspost-graduate experience looking for the next step or are currently undertaking a similar role in a similar environment.

As a Senior Consultant, you will be involved in:

  • Leading the preparation of Technical Due Diligence Reports for lenders, investors, and financial institutions, with a focus on mission‑critical and datacentre developments.
  • Managing and preparing Monthly Monitoring Reports throughout the construction phase, providing lenders with independent assessments of project progress, risks, costs, schedule, and overall project health.
  • Acting as a trusted technical advisor to lenders throughout the project lifecycle, providing insight on contractual documentation, procurement strategies, project execution plans, budgets, schedules, operational readiness, and project risks.
  • Supporting complex datacentre developments through all stages of delivery, including planning, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operational readiness.
  • Interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages.
  • Research related to construction market conditions throughout Canada, including analysis of official published data.
  • Developing new business opportunities with existing and new Turner & Townsend clients.
  • Knowledge management – Ensuring that key information and learning generated from each commission is inputted into internal databases and shared.
  • Quality Control – Ensuring compliance with quality standards and participation in ISO audits.
  • Ensuring commissions are managed to the right quality standards and are completed efficiently and on time.
  • Ensuring service delivery on commissions is in line with the conditions of appointment.
  • 5-10+ years of relevant experience within construction, project management, project controls, infrastructure advisory, lender's technical advisory, or a related construction consulting environment.
  • Direct experience preparing and/or reviewing Technical Due Diligence Reports and Construction Monitoring Reports on behalf of lenders or financial institutions.
  • Experience with datacenter developments and mission‑critical facilities is strongly preferred.
  • A recognized university degree.
  • Membership in relevant professional organizations is a bonus (CIQS / RICS).

The base salary range for this full-time role is $90,000 - $120,000 per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package. Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate’s experience and qualifications.
