The Manager of Clinical Support Services is looking for a leader in the development and promotion of best practices in quality improvement and patient safety. This position offers a wide range of opportunities with shared responsibilities across local, zonal, and provincial initiatives.
This Systems Consultant develops, coordinates, and facilitates quality improvement and safety services at the site, sector, and zone levels. In addition to a competitive salary, AHS offers a Fort McMurray Allowance up to $12,480 annually, payable on an hourly basis for all paid hours at the basic rate of pay.
The Implementation Lead collaborates with Quality and Patient Safety teams and clinical staff, under the guidance of the Clinical Support Services Manager. The role involves supporting and consulting on quality assurance and safety initiatives, including developing safety communications. The incumbent works independently to support planning and implementation of local, zonal, and provincial projects.
Bachelor of Science in a clinical or related discipline, plus appropriate licensure or recognized designation. At least 5 years of progressive experience in health or business administration, preferably in healthcare. Knowledge of AIW, PROSCI, Lean Process Improvement, and ADKAR change management models. Must reside in or be willing to relocate to Fort McMurray. This is an on-site position.
Experience with research project coordination, complex data analysis, safety reviews, and developing and tracking recommendations. Strong understanding of healthcare systems, quality improvement, and performance measurement. Previous project implementation experience.
Knowledge of Section 9 of the Alberta Evidence Act. Process improvement, change, or project management certifications (e.g., AIW, PROSCI, Lean, ADKAR) are assets.
