Job summary

Ledcor is seeking a Construction Manager to oversee day-to-day field operations across multiple trades, ensuring performance targets are met and client needs are anticipated. You will lead a team of superintendents, drive safety, scheduling, budget control and quality to achieve project objectives.

Based in Canada, this site-based role offers hybrid coordination with in-office and remote elements between projects.

Qualifications

15+ years of powerline construction experience in a strategic or direct management role.
Post-secondary education in Construction, Engineering, or related discipline.
Thorough understanding of construction practices, complex documents, contracts, costs and budgets.
Ability to recognize issues and develop solutions across scope.
Ability to build relationships with stakeholders and mentor leadership.
Strong communication and leadership across diverse teams.
Clean drivers abstract.
Experience on industrial/oil & gas, or mining projects and assets.

Responsibilities

Ensures superintendents have resources to complete projects per plans, codes and safety rules.
Leads development of quality policies and procedures.
Promotes safety on projects and participates in senior management safety discussions.
Oversees regular safety meetings as required.
Leads development of complex project schedules and resource management.
Ensures manpower, materials, tools and resources meet schedules for multiple disciplines.
Assists estimating with schedule, execution plan and labour requirements for large-scale pursuits.
Provides guidance to project staff and managers across teams; allocates resources.
Leads subcontract and supplier selection, procurement and negotiations.
