Job summary

Ledcor Group's Ledcor Industrial unit seeks a Project Coordinator / Project Engineer – Lead to drive field coordination across multi-discipline teams on major Canadian industrial projects. This role blends leadership with hands-on field engineering, advancing schedule, cost, safety and quality performance.

You will mentor junior staff, manage RFIs and document control, support procurement, and lead change management to ensure projects stay on track.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in industrial construction environments such as Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Petrochemical, or Potash.
• Strong ability to read, interpret, and apply construction drawings and specifications.
• Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office and scheduling software such as Primavera (P6).
• Experience with InEight – InEight Control, InEight Plan, InEight Change, InEight Document.
• Proven communication and leadership skills with client and subcontractor engagement.
• Knowledge of subcontract management, RFIs, change management, and project close-out.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and ongoing administration of Ledcor project systems, processes, and procedures throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee and coordinate project documentation, including drawings, specifications, correspondence, meeting minutes, logs, and records.
• Actively support site HSE program through inspections, safety meetings, and corrective actions.
• Support and lead Quality initiatives through specification reviews and inspections.
• Manage and coordinate the RFI process, including logs, distribution, and closure.
• Prepare and review purchase requisitions and coordinate material deliveries.
• Lead FIWPs scoping, planning, development, and execution to keep crews on schedule.
• Support subcontract management activities including tendering and contract awards.
• Lead change management by identifying scope changes and preparing pricing.
• Support schedule development and tracking of progress, milestones, and deliverables.
• Contribute to Project Controls with progress data, cost inputs, and reporting.
• Manage contract document distribution and archiving.
• Lead or support project close-out activities and turnover documentation.
• Provide mentorship to junior coordinators and field engineers.
