Job summary

Peak Construction Services Ltd. in South Surrey, BC, is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead cost estimation for a range of construction projects.

You will analyze plans, perform quantity take-offs, and prepare detailed, competitive bids in collaboration with project managers and engineers. Ideal candidates have 10+ years in estimating, experience with ICI and residential work is an asset, strong math and software skills, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years of estimating experience in construction.
Experience with ICI and Residential projects is an asset.
Strong math and analytical capabilities.
Proficient with estimating software and MS Office.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Post-secondary education is an asset but not required.
Strong attention to detail in estimating costs.

Responsibilities

Review project plans and specifications to determine scope.
Perform quantity take-offs and prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment.
Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers for pricing and information.
Assist in bid proposal preparation and ensure specification compliance.
Analyze costs and provide value engineering options when applicable.
Attend project meetings and report estimating progress and timelines.
Maintain and update cost/pricing databases for future bids.
Stay current with industry trends, materials, and techniques to improve estimating processes.
