Job summary

LRO Staffing seeks three Senior SharePoint Online specialists to design, govern, and optimize Microsoft 365 solutions for a public sector client in Ottawa's Westend.

You will work with business and IT stakeholders to implement scalable site hierarchies, taxonomy, and access controls using Azure AD and SharePoint groups, while guiding migrations and governance standards.

Qualifications

• Certificate, diploma, or degree in computer science or related field from a recognized Canadian post-secondary institution.
• 3+ years in last 5 years developing Microsoft Dynamics 365 applications and services.
• 3+ years in last 5 years developing reports and dashboards using Microsoft Dynamics 365 services.
• 3+ years in last 5 years administering Microsoft Dynamics 365 services for 500+ users.
• 3+ years in last 5 years with Dynamics 365 governance and information management practices.
• Advanced English oral, comprehension, and written communication skills.
• Must be a Canadian citizen and hold a valid Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable SharePoint Online architectures including site structures, hub models, metadata frameworks, and content strategies.
• Provide technical advice, impact assessments, and implementation recommendations for SharePoint Online.
• Define site hierarchies, hub associations, navigation models, content types, taxonomy, and permissions structures.
• Establish governance standards, naming conventions, provisioning models, lifecycle management, and usage guidelines.
• Engage stakeholders to translate needs into SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 solutions.
• Configure and build SharePoint components: sites, libraries, lists, and pages.
• Develop integrated Power Platform solutions to automate processes.
• Plan and support content migration from legacy systems with retention requirements.
• Design scalable access control models using Azure AD and SharePoint groups.
• Maintain and improve SharePoint solutions through troubleshooting, performance tuning, and monitoring.
• Conduct testing and user acceptance activities and develop training materials.
• Support change management and monitor Microsoft 365 roadmap impacts.
• Provide operational sustainment, documentation, and knowledge transfer services.
• Mentor non-developers through code reviews and pair programming.

About The Opportunity

Our Public Sector client is seeking three (3) Senior Computer Application Support resources to provide technical architecture, solution development, advisory, and operational support for SharePoint Online and related Microsoft 365 services.

About The Opportunity

The successful candidates will support the design, implementation, governance, and continuous improvement of enterprise and business-level SharePoint Online solutions. The work will involve collaborating with business, functional, and technical stakeholders to gather and validate requirements, develop solutions, prepare documentation and templates, and provide technical guidance related to the Microsoft 365 environment.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Design and develop scalable SharePoint Online architectures that support business, information management, and operational requirements, including site structures, hub models, metadata frameworks, and integrated content strategies
• Provide technical advice, impact assessments, and implementation recommendations related to SharePoint Online solutions
• Define and implement site hierarchies, hub associations, navigation models, content types, taxonomy, metadata schemas, and permissions structures
• Establish and maintain governance standards, including naming conventions, provisioning models, lifecycle management, and usage guidelines

• Support change management and monitor Microsoft 365 roadmap impacts while contributing to ongoing improvements in usability, governance, and system performance
• Provide operational sustainment, documentation, and knowledge transfer services
• Mentor non-developers through code reviews, technical guidance, pair programming, and training
• Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, and project stakeholders to gather requirements, validate solutions, and deliver products within established timelines and scope

About You

• Certificate, diploma, or degree in computer science or other relevant field from a recognized Canadian post-secondary institution
• A minimum of 36 months of experience within the last 60 months developing Microsoft Dynamics 365 applications and services
• A minimum of 24 months of experience within the last 60 months developing reports and dashboards using Microsoft Dynamics 365 services
• A minimum of 36 months of experience within the last 60 months administering Microsoft Dynamics 365 services within an organization of 500 or more users
• A minimum of 36 months of experience within the last 60 months with Microsoft Dynamics 365 services governance and information management practices
• Advanced English oral, comprehension, and written communication skills
• Must be a Canadian citizen and hold a valid Secret security clearance
