Job summary

ComForCare is seeking a compassionate Senior Companion in Brantford, Ontario to provide personal care, companionship, and homemaking services to clients in their homes. The goal is to empower clients to maintain independence, dignity, and comfort in familiar surroundings.

The role includes light housekeeping, meal planning, errands, and local transportation support. Comprehensive training is provided, and the position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a positive community impact.

Qualifications

• Strong English communication skills (reading, writing, and speaking).
• Experience as Homemaker or Companion is an asset.
• Ability to pass the DEARS (Drugs and Ethics) assessment.

Responsibilities

• Support clients with shopping, errands, and local transportation.

The goal of this role is to empower our clients to maintain their independence, dignity, and comfort within their own homes.

Essential Functions:

• Provide consistent companionship and emotional support.
• Assist with meal planning and preparation.
• Support clients with shopping, running errands, and local transportation.
• Perform light housekeeping duties, including vacuuming, dusting, mopping, dishwashing, laundry, and changing bed linens.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent certificate.
• Previous experience as a Homemaker or Companion in a home or facility setting is considered an asset.
• Ability to pass the DEARS (Drugs and Ethics) assessment.
• Strong English communication skills (reading, writing, and speaking).
• Valid driver’s license with access to a reliable, insured automobile for daily travel.
