Job summary

The Co-operators Group Limited is seeking a Senior Communications Consultant for a 12-month temporary role in a hybrid work model (2 days in office). The role focuses on developing and executing strategic communications initiatives, including events, to support our business goals and leadership messaging.

You will mentor teams, collaborate with executives, and ensure communications align with our brand and strategic priorities.

Qualifications

Seven years of experience in Communications.
Post-secondary diploma in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or related discipline.
Expert knowledge in theory and application of communication principles and best practices.
Strong experience leading and working with vendors and colleagues/business partners to deliver key internal events.
Accredited Business Communication (ABC) certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

Guide the development and execution of integrated communications initiatives, including events.
Develop, write and edit internal and external content, messages, speaking notes, and presentation materials for executive leadership communications.
Lead the development and execution of key business events.
Monitor trends in communications planning, strategy and measurement to improve processes.
Communicate with stakeholders across the organization regarding sensitive issues to achieve optimal outcomes.
