Job summary

CIMA+ | B&A Studios is seeking a Senior Communications & Engagement Specialist to lead strategic communications for diverse projects across Canada. The role involves guiding engagement programs, advising clients, and mentoring junior staff.

Hybrid work arrangements are available, with an emphasis on collaborative, cross-disciplinary teamwork. You will shape communications strategies, translate technical content for broad audiences, and manage stakeholder relationships to support project success

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience in communications, public relations, public engagement, facilitation, or related consulting field.
• Degree or diploma in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related field.
• Experience developing and executing communications and engagement strategies for diverse projects and audiences.
• Strong writing, editing, research, analytical, presentation and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to translate technical information into clear language and to lead multiple workstreams.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and delivery of communications and engagement strategies aligned with project needs and objectives.
• Provide strategic communications advice to clients and project teams, including stakeholder relations and issues management.
• Create content for websites, newsletters, mailouts, social media, media releases, and presentations.
• Translate complex information for diverse stakeholders and communities.
• Plan and deliver engagement activities including workshops, open houses, and online outreach.
• Facilitate public meetings and represent projects professionally with various audiences.
• Manage stakeholder feedback analysis, engagement summaries, and mitigation recommendations.
• Support research and planning to inform project strategy and decision-making.
• Contribute to proposals, client relationships, and practice growth; mentor junior team members.
