Job summary

Distress Centre of Ottawa and Region (DCOR) is seeking a Manager, Communications to lead writing, editing, website content, and brand standards in a bilingual setting. You will own key organizational materials, ensure accessibility, and supervise a small team to support fundraising and events.

Responsibilities include maintaining a consistent editorial voice, coordinating across teams, and translating English and French messaging with accuracy and care.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years in a communications or marketing role.
• 1-3 years supervising or leading projects/people.

Responsibilities

• Lead writer and editor across reports, educational materials, and web copy.
• Set and uphold editorial voice and tone; coach others.
• Produce polished materials: reports, resources, presentations, and collateral.
• Create campaign, stewardship, and promotional materials for fundraising.
• Support media materials: talking points, backgrounders, releases.
• Manage materials inventory and ordering of printed materials.
