Qualifications

7-10 years of Commercial Underwriting experience.
Established broker relationships.
Experience on new business and renewal business.
Expertise in Construction, Manufacturing and Energy Contractors.
Strong analytical and deadline-driven mindset.
CIP designation is an asset.

Responsibilities

Drive profitable portfolio growth through disciplined underwriting and strong renewal retention.
Develop and maintain broker relationships; market Sovereign’s value proposition.
Underwrite new business, renewals and endorsements per policy and authority.
Negotiate coverage and rates; participate in underwriting audits.
Provide mentorship to junior underwriters.
Stay informed on market conditions and regulations.
