Chubb Insurance Company of Canada is seeking an Underwriter/Senior Underwriter for Commercial Insurance (P&C) in Calgary. The role focuses on independently managing a diverse commercial portfolio with emphasis on retention, account rounding, new business, renewal change and profitability while maintaining strong broker relationships.

Responsibilities include risk analysis, pricing adequacy on new/renewal business, and collaboration with brokers and clients to achieve growth and retention

Qualifications

• University degree and/or equivalent insurance-related education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze account information and make underwriting recommendations and decisions.
• Risk selection, coverage negotiation and pricing adequacy on new or renewal business.
• Contribute to differentiated Customer Retention and Sales results.
• Identify prospects or account rounding opportunities and actively manage and pursue
• Develop and maintain strong business relationships with brokers and key clients.
• Develop customer-centric renewal strategies that align with the Company’s financial goals.
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to an engaging work environment.
• Handle individual risk inquiries/correspondence from brokers and make appropriate decisions.
• Monitor booking, retention, account rounding, and renewal change accuracy.
• Contribute to projects to both improve the business and continually develop personal skills.
