KEY OBJECTIVE: As a key member of the commercial underwriting department, this individual is responsible for independently managing a diverse portfolio of Commercial Property & Casualty business with a focus on Retention, Account Rounding, New Business, Renewal Change and Profit goals while establishing and maintaining healthy relationships with assigned brokers.

Qualifications

• University degree and/or equivalent insurance-related education and experience.
• 2 to 5 years of property and casualty underwriting experience is required (Commercial experience preferred).
• Demonstrated analytical and risk underwriting skills.
• Strong oral and written communications skills.
• Strong organization and time management skills.
• High level of responsiveness and efficiency when working with stakeholders.
• Demonstrated track record of customer service orientation and proven ability to foster strong business relationships.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment in a multi-task environment.
• Regional broker relationship management considered an asset.
