Job summary

Intact Financial Corporation is seeking a Senior Commercial Property Adjuster to join our growing Commercial Property team in Canada. You will support customers with property claims from first notice to resolution, coordinating with vendors and experts to investigate, evaluate and settle claims efficiently.

The role requires a minimum of 3 years of adjusting experience for a Senior position, strong communication, empathy, and sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze information gathered, interpret policy wordings, determine coverage and assess damage.
• Develop an action plan to ensure all aspects of the claim are addressed.
• Manage all financial components of the claim, including setting reserves and settlements.
• Provide clear information to vendors and work with experts to drive progress.
• Offer superior customer service to external and internal customers; respond to inquiries about the claims process.
• Stay up to date on Intact's products, appraisal and investigation techniques.

Salary range (but not limited to):

80,700 - 98,700

Annual bonus target, based on the base salary, with a potential payout of up to double the target (subject to personal and company performance):

Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. About the role

We're looking for a Senior Commercial Property Adjuster to join our growing Commercial Property team!

As a Senior Commercial Property Adjuster, you will support customers who have experienced damage or loss to their commercial property by guiding them through the claims process from first notice to resolution. You will coordinate with vendors, independent adjusters, and subject matter experts to investigate, evaluate, and settle claims efficiently and accurately. Success in this role requires empathy, strong listening and communication skills, sound business judgment, and excellent organization to manage multiple commercial property claims through to completion.

What you'll do here:

• Analyze information gathered, interpret insurance policy wordings, determine coverage, and assess damage
• Develop an action plan to ensure all aspects of the claim are addressed
• Manage all financial components of the claim, including setting reserves and ensuring prompt and equitable settlements in line with Intact's policies and standards
• Ensure clear and concise information and direction is provided to vendors
• Work with experts including appraisers, engineers and others to help drive progress throughout the claim
• Provide a superior quality of customer service to external and internal customers, and answer queries relating to the claims process
• Keep up to date on Intact's insurance products, appraisal and investigation techniques, and service
