WSP helps shape communities and deliver critical infrastructure across Canada. The Commercial Manager will be a trusted partner to Project Managers and leaders, ensuring contracts, governance, and commercial records are managed effectively throughout the project lifecycle.

The role focuses on risk-informed decision-making, process improvements, and consistent reporting across a diverse project portfolio, driving performance and value for clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business, Finance, Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering or related field.
• Approximately 5-7 years of experience in commercial coordination, contract administration, project controls or related commercial functions.
• Knowledge of project lifecycles, contract administration principles and commercial governance processes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate intake, triage, tracking, review, approval, and execution of commercial agreements.
• Prepare standard agreements, amendments, internal consulting agreements, and subconsultant documentation using templates.
• Support bid/no-bid and proposal governance by consolidating risk information and coordinating approvals.
• Maintain accurate commercial documentation including contracts, risk registers, insurance records, change logs, and close-out docs.
• Support project setup by coordinating budgets, WBS, and project controls data.
• Prepare portfolio reporting on backlog, pipeline, contract status, invoicing, receivables, changes, risks, approvals, and KPIs.
• Administer change management by tracking changes and escalating material commercial issues.
• Support risk management, claims prep, dispute docs, close-out activities and continuous improvement in commercial operations.
