Job summary

WSP Canada seeks a Senior Vice President, Commercial and Risk in Montreal to shape the commercial and risk strategy across Canada. You will lead major proposals, governance, and risk management while aligning with global guidelines and provincial needs.

Reporting to the President and chairing key panels, you will drive profitability, governance and enterprise risk management, mentoring senior teams and building strategic partnerships across sectors.

Qualifications

• Executive leadership and advisory to top leadership on cross-functional issues with significant financial impact.
• Strategic thinking and negotiation skills for complex commercial and risk decisions.
• Deep knowledge of the engineering and construction industry and project delivery models.

Responsibilities

• Advise the President and Executive Leadership on material commercial and risk issues.
• Chair the Canadian Review and Approval Panel for opportunities and teaming agreements; lead bid reviews.
• Align risk and commercial strategy, governance and teams with WSP Canada goals.
• Lead commercial and risk teams, budget and governance across Canada.
• Direct reporting lines including VP Risk and Commercial Director; oversee regional risk resources.
• Develop and lead WSP Canada’s Commercial and Risk Network for sharing best practices.
• Guide senior leaders through complex risk issues affecting performance and reputation.
• Provide data and analytics on bids and project risks to inform decisions.
• Represent WSP Canada’s Commercial & Risk team to improve alignment and priorities.
