Job summary

Worley is seeking a Senior Commercial Manager based in Oakville, Ontario. You will provide governance, oversight, and dispute/claims management for proposals and projects in Canada, leading subcontract management and commercial strategy to protect margins.

This full-time role requires extensive experience in fabrication, construction, EPC/EPCM, FEED, and mega projects, with a track record in managing complex contractual obligations, risk, and client relations to deliver successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Significant management experience in commercial management.
• Experience in Fabrication, Construction, EPC/EPCM, FEED and engineering.
• Experience in Mega Projects with TIC > $1.0BN AUD.
• Experience in prime contract commercial management, contract disputes, claims and negotiations with customers.

Responsibilities

• Act as project focal point for prime contract and commercial matters, coordinating with legal or specialist support as required.
• Maintain commercial alignment from handover through close-out, ensuring contractual obligations, notices, deliverables, and entitlements are understood and actively managed.
• Oversee change management, claims avoidance, disputes support, and pursuit of commercial entitlement with the Project Director.
• Coordinate client and Worley financial reporting, including cash flow, forecasting, billing issues, and inputs to project reviews.
• Establish and monitor as-sold budgets for revenue, cost, cash flow and contingency, identifying corrective actions to maximize margin and protect cash position.
• Support risk register development and contingency management, ensuring risks and opportunities are visible and mitigated.
• Manage client audits and capture lessons learned to improve performance on future projects.
• Oversee project contractual obligations and coordinate with legal on interpretation of commercial compliance, liabilities, and contractual risk.
• Ensure required certificates, insurances, guarantees, licenses, confidentiality agreements, and financial instruments are obtained and maintained.
• Support contract close-out by confirming obligations are completed and documented.
• Support procurement and subcontracting strategies to align with master EPC schedule and budgets.
• Ensure procurement and subcontract commitments are commercially sound and aligned with client-approved framework.
• Develop subcontracting strategies to support delivery, schedule requirements, and commercial objectives.
• Ensure subcontract packages include proper flow-downs, payment terms, controls, insurance, licenses, certificates, and compliance.
