Job summary

Element Fleet Management, the world’s largest publicly traded pure-play automotive fleet manager, is seeking a commercial counsel to support its U.S. and Canadian business.

You will negotiate client and vendor agreements, advise cross-functional teams, and manage complex contracts with a focus on data security and regulatory compliance. This hybrid Toronto-based role requires a JD, active bar admission, and at least five years of experience in commercial contracts.

Qualifications

• JD from a U.S. law school or JD/LLB from a Canadian law school.
• Active bar admission in a U.S. state or Canadian province or territory.
• Minimum five years of experience negotiating and drafting commercial contracts.

Responsibilities

• Lead negotiation and drafting of client and vendor commercial agreements, including amendments and ancillary documents.
• Advise business partners on complex contractual, data security, and regulatory issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on cross-border transactions and licensing matters.
• Improve contracting processes and legal services delivery for consistency and effectiveness.
