POSITION OVERVIEW

We seek a Commercial Account Manager to leverage interpersonal skills and network connections to generate new business while managing existing client portfolios. The goal is to impact entrepreneurs' success with financing solutions and advisory services tailored to their needs, typically involving sales up to $2M. CHALLENGES TO BE MET

In a typical week, you would :

  • Meet with entrepreneurs, clients, and prospects to understand their business issues, provide advice, and identify suitable BDC services.
  • Implement your action plan aligned with Business Centre objectives to grow and retain your portfolio and develop new business opportunities.
  • Analyze, negotiate, and present financing proposals with sound credit judgment.
  • Engage with the local business community through networking with associations and chambers of commerce to develop relationships and gain referrals.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in finance, commerce, or business administration, or equivalent experience.
  • Quick learner with the ability to understand numbers and present data-driven arguments.
  • Experience with active listening techniques.
  • Passionate about entrepreneurship, with 1-3+ years in business development and a developed business network.
  • Ability to identify business issues and needs intuitively.
  • Known for accurate advice and excellent customer service.
  • Demonstrate teamwork, organization, and the ability to build lasting relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Excellent negotiation skills, results-oriented, with proven goal achievement.
