Job summary

Geotab is seeking a Senior IT Cloud Operations Engineering Specialist to lead the evolution of its distributed cloud infrastructure. You’ll implement infrastructure as code, self-healing systems, and AI-powered monitoring, while ensuring reliability and security of Geotab’s SaaS platform.

You’ll mentor teammates, drive cost optimization in GCP, and collaborate with multiple teams to deliver scalable, secure, and automated cloud solutions in a high-autonomy environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in a related field.
• 7+ years of IT/Cloud Operations with senior-level project leadership.
• GCP and GKE mastery; AWS experience is a plus.
• PowerShell, Bash, Python; Terraform for IaC.
• SQL across MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, BigQuery; Prometheus, Grafana, Victoria Metrics.

Responsibilities

• Develop and reinforce Geotab’s globally distributed cloud infrastructure.
• Handle on-call pages and operational tickets; manage automation stack.
• Lead infrastructure projects including monitoring stack ownership and cost management.
• Champion AI/ML tooling for cloud operations; mentor teammates.
