Job summary

Manulife is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to design, build, automate, and optimize secure cloud platforms. This role partners with engineering teams to deliver reliable cloud solutions and drive modernization initiatives.

You will lead cloud best practices, mentor engineers, and contribute to the transformation toward scalable, automated environments across hybrids of public, private, and multi-cloud setups.

Qualifications

• 8+ years IT experience including cloud engineering and distributed systems design.
• Experience with public, private, or hybrid cloud environments.
• Kubernetes and/or HashiCorp certifications.
• Experience delivering enterprise-scale PaaS solutions, particularly using AKS.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize cloud platforms and infrastructure.
• Automate cloud platforms using IaC and DevOps practices.
• Develop and maintain APIs, web services, and integration solutions across enterprise platforms.
• Support deployment, troubleshooting, testing, and CI activities.
• Mentor team members on cloud adoption and modernization initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile environments.
