Job summary

Fitch seeks a Senior Information Architect / Data Engineer to join the Chief Data Office team. You will lead the technical architecture for a cloud data platform, collaborate with platform teams, and drive SDLC standards for data at rest and data in motion across AWS.

The role requires 10+ years in cloud database engineering/architecture, deep AWS experience (S3, Redshift, Athena), hands-on DB development/administration, and expertise in data management, governance, and enterprise-scale big data

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as a cloud database engineer/architect
• Expertise with AWS infrastructure such as S3, Redshift, and Athena
• Hands-on experience as a database developer/administrator
• Experience with Data Management and Governance solutions (Data Warehousing, Data Lakes) in relational and no-SQL (Oracle, Hadoop)
• Experience creating and supporting enterprise-level big data platform architecture
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across leaders and teams
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science or similar technical discipline

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical architecture for the next generation cloud data platform
• Partner with platform teams to design and deploy a cloud big data platform aligned with business goals
• Define SDLC standards for enterprise platform architecture including data at rest and data in motion
• Develop platform standards for integrations and feature development within the ecosystem
• Provide design and technical support for re-architecting legacy data solutions for on-prem and AWS cloud
• Support enterprise application teams to define reusable cloud technologies
