Job summary

Euna Solutions is seeking a Senior Data Architect to define and govern a modern AWS-based data platform in the public sector space. You’ll set reference architecture, patterns, and governance, and also roll up your sleeves to build alongside the team when it matters.

Responsibilities include designing an enterprise data model from raw to curated, establishing data classification, PII handling, access control, lineage and residency, and creating reusable patterns to accelerate data product

Qualifications

• Senior data architecture experience with production AWS systems and a governed analytical layer.
• Fluency with layered data architectures and governance across them.
• Experience designing contextual or semantic data layers to optimize AI workloads.
• Hands-on knowledge of managed AWS data services (Glue, Athena, Lake Formation, DMS).
• Experience designing for data classification, PII handling, access control, lineage, and residency.

Responsibilities

• Define a managed AWS reference architecture that delivers reliability with a lean team.
• Specify the layered data model from raw to curated to analytical layer.
• Establish governance across data classification, PII handling, access control, lineage, and residency.
• Create reusable engineering patterns for capture, land-and-store, transform-and-serve, and govern.
• Design loose coupling from operational systems using change-data-capture or scheduled extracts.
• Set guardrails that favour governed patterns but allow low-code workflows when necessary.
• Contribute hands-on to build data products when needed.
