Job summary

ParaMed is seeking a Clinical Supervisor to oversee RNs and LPNs in the community to ensure safe, ethical, and high-quality care, aligned with standards and policies. You will lead through regular huddles and one-on-one meetings, support clinical documentation, and collaborate with the nursing team to meet funder reporting guidelines.

An active RN license in Nova Scotia and a minimum of 5 years' practice, plus strong teaching and organizational skills, are required, along with a valid driver’s

Qualifications

• Current RN registration with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing and entitlement to practice without restrictions.
• Proven leadership experience and ability to manage a team in a healthcare setting.
• Strong organizational and teaching skills; commitment to professional development in home health care.
• Knowledge of clinical documentation standards and practice guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support RNs and LPNs, ensuring practices meet legislated standards and company policies.
• Respond to concerns from staff, patients, families, and team members; provide guidance.
• Lead through regular huddles, face-to-face meetings, and one-on-ones.
• Initiate patient safety investigations and ensure timely action plans.
• Collaborate with nursing staff on clinical documentation and funder reporting requirements.
• Engage patients in problem solving with education and rapport-building to identify needs and goals.
• Mentor and coach staff to resolve issues and improve practice.
