Job summary

Recruitment By Design is recruiting for a Canadian civil engineer and project manager based in Vaughan, Hamilton, or Ottawa. The role combines planning, design, and contract administration across land development projects in Ontario, with a focus on site plans and subdivisions.

Hybrid work, a permanent full-time position, and a compensation package between CA$95,000 and CA$135,000 plus benefits are offered. P.Eng./CEt or equivalent is expected with extensive leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related field or two-year diploma in related tech
• Licensed P.Eng. with PEO or CET/Tech certification
• 8+ years progressive engineering design experience for site plans and subdivisions
• 3+ years mentoring engineers, technicians or designers
• Strong client communication and leadership abilities
• Knowledge of MECP, Conservation Authority and LID guidelines
• Excellent time management and ability to balance priorities
• Proficient with Civil3D, AutoCAD, ArcGIS, MicroStation in a MS environment
• Valid driver’s license with access to vehicle

Responsibilities

• Lead, plan scope, budgets and schedules; provide technical direction
• Manage multiple projects through planning, design and contract administration
• Assist in proposals and generate detailed project reports
• Provide mentoring to junior staff
• Prepare contracts, servicing plans and subdivision-related deliverables
• Provide Civil3D design/draft support to meet deliverables
• Coordinate with clients, stakeholders and subconsultants
• Perform other duties as required
