Job summary

Morson Edge in Canada is seeking civil engineers for OPG & Bruce Power assignments. On-site 5 days a week in Pickering and Kincardine, duration 1 year with potential extension. Tasks cover design, analysis, field execution and reports under nuclear codes and client procedures.

Requires a Civil Engineering degree, Ontario P.Eng., and at least six years of civil experience; nuclear project exposure and security clearance are preferred. Hourly rate offered: CAD 90–120.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• P.Eng. designation in Ontario.
• Minimum six years of civil engineering experience.
• Experience in nuclear power projects or operating nuclear facilities.
• Active OPG or Bruce Power security clearance.
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering codes, standards and analytical methods.
• Stress analysis experience for OPG-cleared positions.
• Experience with specialized civil/structural software is an asset.
• Strong technical writing, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Complete complex civil engineering assignments involving design, analysis, evaluation, specifications and field execution.
• Review engineering designs, calculations, technical documents and project deliverables.
• Develop or modify engineering methods, systems and models to support project requirements.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, nuclear standards, quality requirements and client procedures.
• Evaluate technical issues and recommend practical engineering solutions.
• Support field activities, testing and the resolution of construction or operational challenges.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering, project management and client teams.
• Provide technical guidance and review the work of other team members.
• Prepare progress updates and technical reports for project leadership.
• Perform other project-related duties as required.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
