Job summary

Morson Edge is seeking Junior/Intermediate Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) Design Engineers to support a major nuclear project on-site in Ontario. You will work with experienced engineers to design and modify nuclear plant I&C systems.

Experience with Ontario Power Generation (OPG) or Bruce Power is required, with a degree in Electrical, Controls or Instrumentation engineering. This role is 100% on-site in Tiverton, Ontario, with per diem benefits for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical, Controls, Instrumentation or a related engineering discipline.
• 1+ years I&C engineering or design experience, preferably within the nuclear industry.
• Previous OPG or Bruce Power experience is required.
• Familiarity with nuclear engineering processes, design documentation and plant-modification requirements.
• P.Eng. designation in Ontario is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and review of I&C designs for nuclear plant systems and modifications
• Prepare technical specifications, calculations, drawings and engineering documentation
• Review schematics, wiring diagrams, control logic and instrumentation documents
• Assist with equipment selection, procurement, installation, commissioning and troubleshooting
• Ensure engineering work complies with applicable codes, standards and client requirements
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering, project and site teams
• Provide technical support throughout the design and project lifecycle
• Participate in design reviews and help resolve technical issues
