Job summary

General Motors of Canada in Markham, ON seeks an experienced Architect to establish the end-to-end CI/CD reference architecture for Platform Software delivery across components and release trains. The role is hybrid, reporting to Markham three days a week and guiding multi-team integration and mainline quality gates.

You will define build-once, promote-many practices, connect GitHub Enterprise and cloud build infrastructure, and advise senior leadership on risk, pipeline health, and investment

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in software development & deployment.
• Experience with MCU and SoC build systems, embedded Linux, AUTOSAR, Yocto, containers, cross-compilation, boot and flashing workflows.
• Experience with GitHub Enterprise migration from Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Gerrit, Bitbucket, or similar legacy platforms.
• Experience with cloud platforms, infrastructure as code, Kubernetes or equivalent execution platforms.

Responsibilities

• Define end-to-end CI/CD reference architecture for Platform Software delivery across components and release trains.
• Architect build-once, promote-many practices with immutable artifacts and reproducible configurations.
• Lead cross-functional technical decisions when ownership spans multiple teams and suppliers.
• Define quality gates and mainline protection to ensure fast, actionable diagnostics and known-good baselines.
