Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline.
• Master’s degree plus 8+ years or 10+ years industry experience.
• Expert in systems architecture or software systems engineering.
• Experience with ISO 26262, SOTIF, Automotive SPICE or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Define the technical vision and strategy for AV Platform Software across vehicle platforms and products.
• Turn business, safety, cybersecurity, regulatory goals into roadmaps with senior leadership.
• Decompose PRDs and features to system and sub-systems with traceability.
• Drive sub-system coverage, quality, and system-level requirements and FMEA.
• Resolve cross-team issues with independent judgment.
• Set boundaries and coverage with hardware, perception, autonomy, safety and software teams.
• Drive requirements standards, V&V strategy, and architecture metrics.
• Raise gaps on P0 topics and AV escapes for leadership action.
• Bring new architectural ideas into the GM engineering community.
