WestCana Services Inc. (WestCana) is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance team for a seniors facility in Burnaby, BC. The role focuses on safe, reliable building operations with a strong emphasis on health and resident comfort, staffing, and budget adherence.

The position is full-time, permanent, with a Wednesday–Sunday shift, 10:00 AM–6:00 PM, totaling 37.5 hours weekly. English language work environment and immediate start date are provided.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in building maintenance, facilities management, engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years of progressive building maintenance or facilities experience, preferably in healthcare or long-term care.
• Demonstrated supervisory experience with scheduling, training, and evaluating staff.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine facility inspections and perform general maintenance tasks.
• Plan and implement preventive maintenance schedules and manage work orders.
• Coordinate fire/life-safety inspections and regulatory inspections.
• Respond to maintenance emergencies to protect resident safety and operations.
• Manage maintenance budgets, purchasing, and contractor relationships.
