At Sienna Senior Living, the Glen Rouge Community in Scarborough seeks a Director of Care who will lead the Long Term Care team to deliver high-quality resident care in a supportive, values-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing Science or equivalent post diploma education.
• Gerontological Nurse Certification (GNC) may have been completed.
• Currently registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses.
• Minimum 1 year experience as a Registered Nurse in Long Term Care.
• Minimum 3 years experience as a Registered Nurse in a managerial or supervisory capacity.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of clinical professionals to build relationships with residents and families.
• Provide a variety of support options and program choices to enrich daily health and well-being.
• Contribute to the culture of the home with a focus on helping residents live fully.
• Collaborate with nursing team and external partners to deliver nursing duties and clinical excellence.
• Monitor and ensure care processes follow individual plans of care and programs.
• Lead clinical programs such as falls prevention, wound care, continence care and pain management.
• Coordinate, implement, evaluate and monitor performance metrics of care processes.
