Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Senior Care Assistant for Waterhouse Manor Care Home in Peterborough. You will work with the care team to provide high standards of personal care, ensuring residents feel safe, valued and supported.

Ideal candidates will have an NVQ 3 or equivalent, at least two years of care home experience, and strong communication skills. DBS disclosure will be provided by Avery, and eligibility to work in the UK is required.

Competenze

• NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
• 2 years’ experience in a similar care environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Positive attitude to supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
• Flexible and responsive to a range of responsibilities.

Mansioni

• Monitor the wellbeing of residents and update care plans as needed.
• Contribute to person-centred care planning and monthly evaluations.
• Support residents with their medication requirements.
• Undertake staff supervision and support staff development.
• Act as a key contact for residents, families and care professionals; escalate concerns.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be to

support

and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open,

supportive

inclusive

environment for residents, visitors and staff

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

• Monitoringthe wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changeimpactingon care and care plans, ensuring that new needs aremet,and written records are amended to reflect any variation.
• Beinginvolved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing,monitoring,and undertaking monthly evaluations.
• Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
• Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required.
• Actingas a key point for contact with residents, theirrelativesand visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are actedupon,and concerns or complaints are escalated.
