Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior CAD Technician to join our Campbell River team. This role is suited for someone experienced in CAD Drafting and Civil3D design, working on municipal engineering and land development projects. Proficiency in AutoCAD & Civil 3D is essential; experience with Infraworks, rendering software, or GIS is a plus.

Responsibilities

1. Assist in producing civil engineering designs and drawings that meet all standards and client requirements.
2. Transform preliminary concepts into detailed engineering plans using Civil 3D and other software.
3. Translate sketches into engineering plans according to standards.
4. Support junior drafters in project work.
5. Coordinate with team members to ensure project schedules, budgets, and quality standards are met.
6. Collaborate across disciplines internally and externally.
7. Assist in improving AutoCAD standards.

Requirements

1. Certificate or diploma in Civil Engineering Technology with at least 8 years of experience.
2. Registration as an A.Sc.T. or pursuit of other technical credentials is an asset.
3. Expertise in AutoCAD/Civil 3D is mandatory.
4. Experience with Infraworks and GIS software is beneficial.
5. Strong attention to detail and a drive for excellence.
6. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
7. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

The salary range is $80,000 - $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
