Job summary

Boyd Group Services Inc. is seeking a Senior Business Unit Accounting Analyst to provide technical guidance and support for accurate financial reporting and month-end close.

You will review reconciliations, perform variance analyses on gross margin and OPEX, and collaborate with other accounting and finance teams to ensure compliant, timely results. Responsibilities include coordinating with management to improve workflows, mentoring staff, and ensuring strong internal controls.

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards under IFRS and ability to guide team through complex reconciliations.
• Experience in financial variance analysis (Revenue, Gross Margin, OPEX) and month-end accruals.
• Demonstrated ownership of projects and ability to identify improvements and reduce redundancies.

Responsibilities

• Guide and mentor Business Unit accountants to ensure accurate outputs and support month-end close.
• Review monthly account reconciliations and perform high-risk reconciliations to support internal controls.
• Identify and implement process improvements and new workflows to increase efficiency.
• Prepare monthly variance analyses for revenue, gross margin, and OPEX and explain drivers to other departments.
• Monitor and support business process controls within the accounting group.
• Assist Manager with onboarding and training of staff.
