Job summary

Vancity is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to bridge business and technology, analyzing complex requirements and translating them into scalable solutions. Based at our head office with a hybrid work model, you’ll support platform integrations, system configuration, testing, and deployment while collaborating with stakeholders across the organization.

Ideal candidates have a CS/IS degree and 5+ years in similar roles, strong analytical and communication skills, and experience with APIs,

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or in a similar role supporting complex technology environments.
  • Proven ability to analyze business needs and translate requirements into clear, scalable technical designs and solution recommendations.
  • Experience supporting full lifecycle technology implementations, including requirements analysis, solution design, testing, deployment, and post‑implementation support.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with experience working with complex datasets, system information, and server logs to support data‑informed decisions.
  • Experience with systems integration, API design, Swagger, data mapping, vendor coordination, and solution delivery.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across business, technical, architecture, and vendor teams.
  • Ability to produce clear documentation, reports, and presentations that communicate findings, requirements, and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Adaptable and self‑directed, with the ability to manage competing priorities, learn quickly, and apply new skills in a fast‑paced environment.

Your Role in Supporting Our Members:

As a Senior Business Systems Analyst, you will play a critical role in analyzing complex business requirements and translating them into scalable, efficient technical solutions that support organizational success. You’ll work at the intersection of business and technology, solving intricate challenges, driving system integrations, and optimizing workflows to enhance member and business outcomes. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in complex environments, enjoys problem‑solving, and can influence both technical and business stakeholders.

This is a full‑time, permanent role based at our Vancity head office and will report directly to the Manager, Application Tech. While this position provides a hybrid work arrangement, you will be expected to be on‑site for events and business demands.

This role offers a salary range of $92,700 to $125,400 per annum. The base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications, skills, previous experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package, employees may also be eligible for our annual incentive program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
