Job summary

BITS Recruiting is seeking a Senior Business Architect for a fully onsite assignment in Toronto. You will analyze business and government information, facilitate stakeholder consultations, and ensure enterprise capabilities align with corporate strategy and business plans.

Develop and maintain Business Architecture artifacts according to Enterprise Architecture frameworks and GO-ITS, model capabilities and processes, and connect business function modeling with KPIs and performance measures.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of IT experience with 5+ years in Business Architecture on large projects.
• Hands-on experience developing Business Architectures using Ontario methodologies and GO-ITS.
• Experience mapping BAD to OPS standards and SRD/IAD alignment.
• Experience aligning docs with SRD and IAD for vertical integration.
• Experience with governments or large organizations on enterprise-level Business & Information Architecture.
• Strong skills in Business Function Modeling, Process Modeling, Services Modeling, BPMN, KPIs, and performance measures.
• Ability to lead enterprise architecture engagement across projects and portfolios.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business and government information relevant to Business Architecture and facilitate stakeholder consultations and workshops.

Must-Have Requirements

• 10+ years of total IT experience, including at least 5 years of Business Architecture experience on large, complex projects.
• Hands-on experience developing Business Architectures using Ontario Government Enterprise Architecture methodologies and GO-ITS.
• Experience developing Program Area Business Architecture and Business Architecture Documentation (BAD) according to OPS standards and industry best practices.
• Experience aligning Business Architecture Documentation with Solution Requirements Documents (SRD) and Information Architecture Documents (IAD) to ensure vertical integration.
• Experience working with governments or large organizations on enterprise or core-level Business and Information Architecture.
• Strong experience with Business Function Modeling, Business Process Modeling, Services Modeling, BPMN, Value Chain Analysis, Business Outcomes, KPIs, and Performance Measures.
• Experience developing optimized future-state business models and identifying opportunities for horizontal business integration.
• Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, communication, negotiation, consensus-building, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with executives and senior management.
• Ability to lead and support enterprise architecture engagement processes across projects and portfolios.

This is a fully onsite role requiring candidates to work from the Toronto office 5 days per week.
