Zohorecruit seeks a seasoned IT Business Architect to support the Ontario government’s MNRF initiative, enhancing the Forest Resources Inventory Information Management System and updating its Enterprise Architecture. Qualifications

  • Experience in developing business architectures using Ontario Government Enterprise Architecture methodologies and GO-ITS.
  • Development of Program Area(s) Business Architecture and corresponding BAD according to OPS standards and industry best practices.
  • Creation of alignment of the Business Architecture Document to the SRD and IAD, as per OPS standards and industry best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes government information pertinent to business architecture, consults with appropriate government contacts on specific business architecture elements and conducts focus group workshops.
  • Develops and maintains business capabilities of the enterprise in line with the corporate strategy as well as contributing to the business strategy and plans.
  • Develops/revises business architecture artefacts as part of the Enterprise Information Architecture (EIA) Federated Framework and ensures that these are vertically integrated.
  • Models business at enterprise and/or core business levels.

Description:

  • The Client’s and theMinistry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF) require a Business Architectto support the enhancement of the Forest Resources Inventory InformationManagement System (FRI IMS) and update its Enterprise Architecture (EA). TheBusiness Architect will assess business capabilities, define target businessoutcomes, optimize business processes, and develop key EA deliverables requiredfor governance approvals.
  • The role will support the modernization of FRI IMS,including the implementation of centralized data storage using Databricks andAzure Storage, public-facing data exchange capabilities, and a cloud-based dataprocessing and analytics platform. The Business Architect will lead thedevelopment of business architecture artifacts and ensure alignment withenterprise standards and governance requirements throughout the projectlifecycle.

  • Developingand maintaining architectural governance and controls overimplementation
  • Foreach step of the business transformation plan, business architectscontribute in development of a blueprint of the enterprise in order topromote a common understanding of the organization and alignment ofstrategic objectives with tactical demands.

The project teams consist of you, a Sr. IT Business Architect(lead), project leads, product manager, solution designer, service designer, QAtester, business analysts, subject matter experts and other project teammembers. The project team will work though the AGP engagements with the Client’sEnterprise Architecture team and Corporate Enterprise Architecture ReviewBoard

Requirements

Experience and Skill Set Requirements:

Must Haves:

  • Experiencein developing business architectures using Ontario Government EnterpriseArchitecture methodologies and GO-ITS.
  • Developmentof Program Area(s) Business Architecture and corresponding BusinessArchitecture Documentation (BAD) according to OPS standards and industrybest practices.
  • Creationof alignment of the Business Architecture Document to the SolutionRequirements Document (SRD) and the Information Architecture Document(IAD), as per OPS standards and industry best practices, ensuring verticalintegration.

Skill Set Requirements:

  • TotalIT experience of at least 10 years, out of which 5 years doing BusinessArchitecture on large complex projects
  • Excellentcommunication, concept visualization, facilitation, stakeholdermanagement, negotiation, consensus building, and problem- solvingskills.
  • Experiencecollaborating with executives and senior management.
  • Successfullycompleted Business and Information Architectures at the enterprise and/orcore business levels for governments or large organizations
  • Contributedto the successful transformation of government or large organizationprogram delivery by applying Business Architecture practices
  • Abilityto work across Projects in a Portfolio, and across Portfolios.
  • Leadingproject teams through the enterprise engagement process.
  • Provenability in designing optimized future versions of business areas.
  • Provenability in horizontal business integration ( i.e. identifying commonelements, anddelineation points)
  • Knowledgeof or experience in Government of Ontario Information Technology Standards(GO-ITS) for Architecture.
  • Experiencein developing business architectures using Ontario Government EnterpriseArchitecture methodologies and GO-ITS.
  • Developmentof Program Area(s) Business Architecture and corresponding BusinessArchitecture Documentation (BAD) according to OPS standards and industrybest practices.
