Job summary

Vantix Systems Inc. is seeking a Senior Business Analyst (HCM) to support the Enterprise Commons Program within the Human Capital Management stream. You will work with stakeholders and partners on the Workday Workforce Software-based time and attendance ecosystem and related Cloud ERP solutions.

The role emphasizes documenting current HR processes, validating data, performing cutover activities, and developing thorough UAT deliverables. Hybrid work with onsite Edmonton presence is required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in business analysis or business systems analysis.
• Experience supporting Cloud ERP initiatives (SAP Cloud preferred).
• Experience with Workforce Software (WFS) is a strong asset.
• Strong SQL skills and data validation/cutover experience.

Responsibilities

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst (HCM) to support the Enterprise Commons (EC) Program within the Human Capital Management (HCM) stream. In this role, you will contribute to projects involving the Workforce Software (WFS) Time and Attendance module and related Cloud ERP solutions. You will work closely with business stakeholders, module leads, and implementation partners to deliver high-quality requirements, documentation, and testing outcomes.

What You’ll Do

• Document and update current-state business processes (HR and related modules)
• Provide input to and review solution/design documentation
• Develop User Acceptance Testing (UAT) deliverables (test cases, scripts, conditions, expected results)
• Support and help facilitate stakeholder workshops and working sessions
• Identify risks/issues and recommend mitigation approaches
• Participate in data conversion activities, including data validation for mock conversion and cutover
• Write and run SQL queries and other tools to support validation and analysis
• Support integration testing and lead/coordinate UAT execution with business testers
• Manage changing priorities while delivering within time, scope, and quality constraints
• Produce project artifacts to program standards; provide status updates and proactively elevate concerns

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Business Analysis / Business Systems Analysis
• Proven experience supporting Cloud ERP initiatives (SAP Cloud preferred)
• Experience working with Workforce Software (WFS) (strong asset)
• Strong SQL skills (ability to write queries)
• Hands‑on experience with data validation and cutover activities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Degree and/or professional certification in a related discipline

Nice-to-Have (Assets)

• CBAP designation
• Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification (National Payroll Institute) or equivalent
• Knowledge of end-to-end payroll processing (time capture through pay distribution/reporting)
• Experience with time & attendance / payroll platforms (e.g., Workday, Dayforce, ADP, SAP, Workforce Software)
• Strong working knowledge of industry best practices and standards
• Comfort using Google Suite

Work Arrangement

• Hybrid: minimum 2 days onsite in Edmonton
• Current expected onsite alignment: Mondays and Tuesdays (may vary based on team/partner needs)
• Additional onsite time may be required with the system implementation partner
