• 8+ years of Business Analyst experience supporting complex enterprise transformation initiatives.
• Proven experience delivering Finance Transformation projects involving financial reporting, accounting, costing, and finance operations.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Finance solutions, including Oracle Financials Cloud and/or Oracle EBS (mandatory).
• Strong stakeholder management experience with senior finance leaders, project teams, and external vendors.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, analytical, and documentation skills.

Senior Business Analyst – Finance Transformation (Oracle)

Engagement:

Contract (6 Months)

Client:

Our client is one of Canada’s leading financial services organizations, located in the Greater Toronto Area. The organization is embarking on a large-scale, multi-year finance transformation program involving significant investments in technology, process modernization, and operating model enhancements. Working alongside executive stakeholders, finance leaders, and implementation partners, this team will drive the modernization of core finance capabilities and establish a scalable foundation for future growth.

Work Location:

Toronto or Mississauga, Ontario, Canada (Hybrid 2x/week, no exceptions)

Position Overview:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, finance leaders, and technology teams to gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements for a large-scale finance transformation initiative.
• Lead current-state and future-state assessments across finance functions, including financial reporting, cost accounting, and finance operations.
• Conduct business process mapping, gap analysis, and solution evaluations to support transformation objectives and Oracle Finance implementation activities.
• Partner with implementation teams, business users, and system integrators to ensure requirements are translated into effective Oracle Finance solutions.
• Develop and maintain business requirements documents, process flows, use cases, user stories, and functional specifications.
• Support solution design workshops, stakeholder meetings, and cross-functional working sessions involving finance, risk, compliance, and technology partners.
• Coordinate testing activities, including test strategy development, test case creation, user acceptance testing (UAT), and defect resolution.
• Assist with change management, business readiness, and implementation planning throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide ongoing analysis and recommendations to improve finance processes, controls, reporting capabilities, and operational efficiency.

MUST HAVE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 8+ years of Business Analyst experience supporting complex enterprise transformation initiatives.
• Proven experience delivering Finance Transformation projects involving financial reporting, accounting, costing, and finance operations.
• Strong understanding of Financial Accounting and Cost Accounting principles and processes.
• Hands‑on experience with Oracle Finance solutions, including Oracle Financials Cloud and/or Oracle EBS (mandatory).
• Demonstrated experience gathering requirements, conducting gap analysis, documenting current and future state processes, and supporting solution delivery.
• Strong stakeholder management experience working with senior finance leaders, project teams, and external vendors.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, analytical, and documentation skills.

Nice to Have

• Capital Markets or financial services industry experience.
• Experience supporting large-scale ERP transformations and finance modernization programs.
• Exposure to regulatory, risk, and compliance functions within financial institutions.
• Experience working alongside major system integrators and third-party implementation partners.
• CBAP, CCBA, CPA, or related professional certifications.

Project Details

• Large-scale, multi-year finance transformation initiative currently in the feasibility and planning stage.
• Oracle Finance has been selected as the strategic platform.
• Deloitte serves as the implementation and systems integration partner.
• Key stakeholders include Finance Leadership, CFO Office, Reporting Teams, Costing Teams, Risk & Compliance, Oracle, and Deloitte project teams.
• Implementation activities are expected to commence in late 2026.
• Initial 6-month contract with a strong likelihood of extension.

PAY DETAILS:

Between $75-80 an hour
