Job Description

Acumatica is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join our Field Services team. Join us to build the best-in-class business product using Acumatica xRP technology and grow your skills in a highly professional environment.

This role is available in the Montreal, Canada area.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing business scenarios and product requirements, communicating with product managers, partners, and customers.
• Evaluating information from multiple sources, analyzing, testing, and documenting functionality when necessary for design work.
• Writing functional design specifications and technical requirements, analyzing backward compatibility of product changes, negotiating specifications with all stakeholders.
• Decomposing changes in the product and setting tasks for developers, coordinating implementation details and possible changes to the original requirements.
• Interacting with automated testing engineers, technical writers, and support engineers within the project under development.
• Performing acceptance testing and reporting bugs.
• Troubleshooting customers' issues and proposing solutions.
• Demonstrating features and enhancements to both technical and non-technical audiences, managing feedback.
• Cooperating with product managers to help refine the product backlog.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Higher technical education in computer systems, networks, information systems and technologies, system analysis and management, computational mathematics, or informatics.
• Experience in system analysis, software design, and development of functional specifications for 5+ years.
• Experience in domains such as Service Management, Accounting, Inventory Management is a plus.
• Understanding of software design principles, engineering processes, and product lifecycle.
• User empathy and ability to model user behavior and identify flaws.
• System thinking and ability to manage complexity.
• Ability to structure large information sets, decompose objects and processes, synthesize solutions, and perform impact analysis.
• Attention to detail and critical thinking.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.
• Basic Business English proficiency is required.
