Job summary

Ciklum is seeking a Senior Business Analyst in Canada with strong Cards and Payments domain expertise to define requirements and deliver card payment solutions. You will collaborate with stakeholders, Product Owners, and technology teams to translate business needs into technical specs and ensure successful delivery across the SDLC.

The role requires experience with card processors like TSYS or equivalents, and knowledge of card lifecycle, APIs, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst / Business Systems Analyst.
Strong Cards and Payments domain expertise with card processing platform experience.

Responsibilities

Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements through stakeholder discussions and workshops.
Create and maintain BRDs, FRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, use cases, and process flows.
Work closely with Product Owners, Project Managers, Developers, QA, and business teams throughout the SDLC.
Provide functional expertise across credit, debit, and prepaid card products.
Demonstrate understanding of the card transaction lifecycle, including authorization, clearing, settlement, refunds, reversals, chargebacks, and disputes.
Analyze change requests, perform impact analysis, and identify dependencies across applications and teams.
Support UAT planning, test case reviews, defect triage, and production releases.
Collaborate with QA teams to ensure requirements are covered through testing.
Work with APIs, data flows, interfaces, and system integrations to translate business requirements into technical specs.
Participate in Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives.
Maintain requirements traceability from business requirements through development, testing, and production implementation.
Support investigation and resolution of production issues and business queries.
Work with payment networks and industry standards, including Visa, Mastercard, and regulatory requirements
