Job summary

Altis in Toronto seeks a Senior Business Analyst to lead IBM Maximo implementation and enhancements, bridging business needs with technology in a large public-sector context. The role focuses on workshops, requirements, testing, and process improvements within an enterprise asset management environment, with a 6-month contract and potential extension.

You will collaborate with stakeholders in Agile settings, document BPMN models, and support enterprise testing while working in a hybrid model

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive Business Analyst experience in large-scale enterprise technology.
• Hands-on IBM Maximo Asset Management or IBM Maximo Application Suite experience.
• Experience documenting workflows and BPMN across as-is/to-be models.
• Experience with enterprise testing, UAT, and Jira traceability.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate workshops with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.
• Develop BRDs, requirements traceability matrices, and business process documentation, including BPMN-based as-is and to-be models.
• Support IBM Maximo implementation activities, ensuring requirements align with project objectives and solution design.
• Create and execute test plans, test cases, and testing activities (functional, integration, system, UAT).
• Manage defects, monitor testing progress, and provide status updates, risks, and reporting to leadership.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for business process improvements and solution adoption.

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will play a key role in the implementation and enhancement of IBM Maximo solutions, helping bridge business needs with technology while supporting critical service delivery.

Your Responsibilities

• You’ll facilitate workshops with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.
• You’ll develop Business Requirements Documents, requirements traceability matrices, and business process documentation, including BPMN-based as‑is and to‑be models.
• You’ll support IBM Maximo implementation activities, ensuring business requirements align with project objectives and solution design.
• You’ll create and execute test plans, test cases, and testing activities, including functional, integration, system, and user acceptance testing.
• You’ll manage defects, monitor testing progress, and provide status updates, risks, and reporting to project leadership.
• You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for business process improvements and successful solution adoption.

Skills and Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive Business Analyst experience supporting large-scale enterprise technology initiatives.
• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience with IBM Maximo Asset Management or IBM Maximo Application Suite (v7, v8, or v9), including implementation experience.
• Extensive experience documenting business workflows, business requirements, and as‑is/to‑be business processes using BPMN.
• Proven experience supporting enterprise testing activities, including test planning, test execution, UAT, defect management, and requirements traceability using JIRA. Experience with HP ALM is considered an asset.
• University degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong understanding of asset management processes, including preventative maintenance, work orders, service requests, contract and vendor management, and capital project delivery.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, analytical, and problem‑solving skills with experience working in Agile and enterprise environments.
