The City of Victoria is seeking a Building and Plumbing Inspector II in Victoria, BC. The role involves regulating and enforcing the building and plumbing codes, reviewing plans, performing on-site inspections, and issuing permits under CUPE Local 50.

This full-time, 35-hour work week position offers a hybrid work arrangement and a competitive hourly wage, with opportunities to contribute to the city’s safety standards and code compliance.

Formación

• Technical School Diploma (2 years) or Journeyman trade qualifications.
• Will obtain BOABC Building Level 3 and Plumbing Level 2.
• Valid Class 5 B.C. Driver’s Licence.

• Regulate and enforce building and plumbing codes and bylaws.
• Review plans, conduct site inspections, and issue permits.
• Provide technical guidance to applicants and contractors.
