As aPlumbing Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting plumbing systems andinstallations to ensure they comply with local plumbing codes, safetyregulations, and standards. Your role will be essential in maintaining thesafety, functionality, and compliance of plumbing systems within thejurisdiction.
KeyResponsibilities:
- Inspect plumbing systems,installations, and equipment to ensure compliance with local plumbingcodes, safety standards, and regulations.
- Review plumbing plans andblueprints to verify they meet all required codes and standards.
- Conduct inspections ofresidential, commercial, and industrial plumbing systems at various stagesof construction and installation.
- Identify and documentviolations, deficiencies, or hazards in plumbing systems and recommendcorrective actions.
- Prepare detailed inspectionreports and maintain accurate records of inspections, compliance, and enforcement actions.
- Provide technical guidanceand support to plumbers, contractors, and property owners regardingplumbing codes and safety practices.
- Respond to inquiries andcomplaints related to plumbing installations and code compliance.
- Stay updated on changes inplumbing codes, regulations, and industry best practices to ensureaccurate inspections and recommendations.
- Collaborate with other municipal departments andagencies to address and resolve plumbing-related issues.
Requirements
- Relevantcertification or diploma in Plumbing Inspection, Plumbing Technology, or arelated field.
- Proven experience as a plumbing inspector or in asimilar role, with a strong understanding of plumbing codes and safetyregulations.
- Excellent observational and analytical skills forassessing plumbing installations and identifying issues.
- Strong communication skills for interacting withplumbers, contractors, and municipal officials.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skillsfor managing inspection reports and records.
- Ability to stay current with evolving plumbingcodes, regulations, and industry practices.
